	Story Behind the Song Mike Jensen is a lonely, lonely man who lives in a trailer park by the water treatment center in a small town in Iowa. This song is about his longing for the local schoolteacher, who he met at the ice cream social and couldn't stop thinking about. Her name is Anne, and Gravity was originally written as the coda to Anne on the night of the ice cream social after Mike returned to the trailer and downed a bottle of Old Crow. He presented it to his bandmates, who instantly loved both tunes, but instructed the dazed and confuzed Jensen to separate these fraternal twins into two songs. Anne and Gravity are still paired, however, live and on the band's debut "Days of Clouds EP." It was recorded rather quickly in Alan's basement using some anachronistic device that Mike stole from the Edison lab in New Jersey...no wait, that was They Might Be Giants.
