	Story Behind the Song This song was inspired by the over usage of the word punk. When I was a corrections officer for a state prison if someone was called a punk they were someone's bitch, or they were gettin' it up the ass. So I wrote this song about the prison meaning of the word punk. It's just something funny to think about. Lyrics I found out the hard way the night I got locked up. That things don't work the same way as when I was growin' up. Back then it was ok to be a punk kid in your school, but if you go to prison bein' punk ain't quite as cool. Don't call me punk you know I killed a man for less than that. Don't call me punk cause you're the one who takes it in the ass. My first day on the yard all the inmates staired me down. They couldn't wait until all the prison guards weren't around. All they wanted to do is run their probe into my trunk and that's when I found out I didn't want to be a punk. You can call me anything that you want but I don't think it's wise for you to call me punk. So if you're in the slammer there's something you might want to know before you get there so you don't take it in the butt. Always stay in groups so you will not get caught alone. It might be cool when you were young to be a punk but if you're in prison that's a title that you just don't want. Don't call me punk.
