Robert Burns wrote some of the most beautiful love songs. And this is just one example of his mastery. Sung a capella, this song will be on the Brobdingnagian Bards upcoming CD, "Songs of Scotland" due out in the Spring. | MP3.com CD: Soul of a Harper - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
I love recording music, but sometimes it takes something or someone to inspire me to do it. Well, a conversation and song request with the Lady in Green arose one night in November. She asked me to sing a song for her. I sang this one. I communicate best in song I think. And this is one of my favorites.
Lyrics
O, my love is like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June
O, my love is like a melody
That's sweetly played in tune
So fair art thou, my bonnie lass
So deep in love am I
And I will love thee still, my Dear
Till all the seas gang dry
Till all the seas gang dry, my Dear
And the rocks melt with the sun!
O I will love thee still, my Dear
While the sands o' life shall run
But fare thee well, my own true love
Oh, fare thee well a while
And I will come again, my love
Though t'were ten thousand miles
