	Story Behind the Song I don't know what the story really is. I think I was having a crisis of faith and this song came out of it. There's two lines that CK accidentally cut out from the bridge of the song that we have now when we play live. Lyrics Sitting at the altar He tries to make sense of it all Where is God in all of this? The crucifix only stares back A blank breath in time He feels his walls closing in around him A ray of hope A beacon of life Something to remind him of who he is When his hope is gone and God seems To have disappeared Every Sunday feels Like a broken record That he doesn’t want to play. Everybody listens and believes his words But how can he preach to them If he doesn’t believe them himself Is it the devil in the corner? Or is he truly wrong?
