This is Camden's slightly heavier mix of the song....
"Thought provoking... as special as anything else that is ambient and serene.
Created the ambience of a place similar to that of a being in a womb... even the hazy memories of childhood. It was enjoyable from the perspective of music effecting, even controlling, one's mood.
It wasn't Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, or Portishead... but it was these artists' processing of a lifetime of music like this.
It must have felt wonderful to create.
Namaste, beautiful beings of light, space, and time... " -JapeCoyote | MP3.com CD: Endura Lessame by GEISHA GLORY - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
Vanessa wrote the lyrics about giving birth to her son Monro. She was in labor for 40 hours with no drugs until the very end. All her major organs began to shut down and she stopped breathing. When he finally came out he was 10 lb.s 12 oz. That's a BIG baby.
More reviews of this song:
Powerful, sexy, and gripping. Well, okay, the baby's crying wasn't sexy, okay, but it was still powerful and gripping. It's difficult to come across an artist nowadays who can really, redeemably pull off heavy emotional power; chaotic and natural ... most people just get as loud as they can possibly get. These guys (or should I say this guy ... DELICCATO / Geisha Glory is appearently really just a collective with one basic, constant member -- Camden Chamberlain) do just the opposite -- their power on this track comes from a deeper, internal, trancelike space -- however dark. Also as a notable mention: the lead female vocals on "Awake" are awesome -- luring, sensual and semi-chaotic; like a brush with a siren from the living dead. A cross between Enya, Tori, and every dark queen from the gothic underworld ... All in all, I'm going back to check out a few more tracks from these guys myself. They're definitely worth a listen. -Julian Rai
Well this track is just great, really kinda spooky in one way, because of the feeling it gives of being in the womb, with the beatiful female vocalist sounding like the mother singing to you, while you hear the heartbeat rhythm nearby, very cool. Every now and then though a great overdriven effect of guitars comes in to give a darker edge. From start to finish a great track with super production. -Ooz
Lyrics
I can see myself, far above the living and the smoke. Shaking, moving so fast, coming closer to the ground and it snaps-Awake
A very pretty transcending, we fall into nothing when we can. My lovely she did it, we all watched it happen. It’s stained on my shirt hidden in his eyes-Push, push, click. We can be warm in this afterworld. Blue sky he has my eyes. A mirror and a mimic. Still kicking down the moon. My heart tugged free walking independently, around my knee in circles.---Kiss, kiss, twist.
