Story Behind the Song
This song is about how so much is messed up in our country and i feel that so many people are going in the wrong direction, incubating evil, and allowing all these horrible things to happen without a second though. Its not really their fault though. I blame it on child rearing. In our country children a bred to not think for themselves in many ways. They are told right from wrong. They are told what to believe. They are told who is good and who is evil. And they grow up, believing all these things without any proof or evidence of thewir beliefs, they says its that way "just because". So the thesis of this song, i guess, is this: In our country, our government and society can get away with pretty much anything and everything because if kids are brianwahsed when they're young, they will grow up, reproduce, and their offspring too will be brainwashed. All the while, nothing changes, and any idea, belief, moral, prejudice or thought will be given from one generation to the next. This deplorable action can only be stopped by free-thinkers. People who go against the grain, think for themselves and dont let anyone tell them what to believe.
Lyrics
It starts when your young
From the day you were born
Told what is right
Told what is true
Told how to act, how to be
Told how to live
in this land of the free
Well that doesnt make any sence to me
Did you know you've misled?
You've had the funnel shoved down your throat
and been force fed
To be just like the rest
(repeat)
You've become a victim, of this system
of western thought and greed
You think we're the best, above all the rest
A falacy of Western superiority
