"Revolving Door" is based around a Dylan-inspired strummed guitar chord progression and features Beatles-ish harmonies that build to an anthem-like chorus at the end. To give it a more modern feel, cool synth sounds pad the music underneath and give the song a more solid foundation.

    Story Behind the Song
Nina was inspired to write this song after watching a movie called 'Sliding Doors' featuring actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The song and the movie ponders how life might have been had you made a different choice on a particularly momentous time in your life. For example, maybe you had trouble deciding what high school to go to and now that you're older you may be inclined to think how your life may have turned out had you decided to go to a different high school. Who would your friends be instead? What would your career and love life be like? Or would it somehow have turned out the same anyway. Is life pre-determined destiny or is it really a path of right and wrong choices? Pretty deep, huh? This over a Zep-style riff Tony had been using to teach his guitar students with.

    Lyrics
    REVOLVING DOOR

People ask me what I stand for.
Everyone wants to know what I believe.
I take a look around, into the horizon.
There is someone speaking to me.

    Oh baby, life is crazy.
Then one day you're on your own.

It doesn't matter what you're looking for.
Life is just a revolving door.
It doesn't matter who will rescue you.
Life is just a revolving door.

No more auditions for the jester.
No more tiptoes around the house.
I can decide to walk away from my own destiny.
I can decide to walk away right now.

    Oh baby, life is crazy.
Then one day you're on your own.

It doesn't matter what you're looking for.
    It doesn't matter any more.
