	Story Behind the Song People have written lots of material about how the world might be after a third world war. With the type of weaponry available, its unlikely that much would survive. This song suggests that only the cockroaches, and the "highway rats" or the"nomads" (Motorcycle gangs) would survive. This is a sci-fi-adventure fantasy take on the situation. It talks about what's left (not much) and how it ended, and day to day survival by these rats of the highway.
