Very aggressive songs with a flare for the old style punk from our roots. Many claim Jack to be more like Ska than any other style. Maybe so, but it's all about attitude right? Except, we let the guitars rip on these! The way it should be! I like to credit one of my favorite bands of all time on this one: AC/DC May you rock on forever! |
CD: Family Album
Label: Independent
Credits: Songwriter: Timothy Rood & Bon Scott from AC/DC (my huge influence) |
Story Behind the Song
Well, Dark Light is written about a bad relationship with someone who you thought was the "Light of your life", hence the name "Dark Light" comes from this. Turns out that this person is not what you thought they were. They are self-centered, non-caring, just downright horrid of a person. (Mainly, I wrote this song about my Ex-Wife...Thank God its over finally...YahoooooO!!!!!) Anyways, it kind of tells the story from my own eyes how life was like when I was around her...As for the second half of this recording, "Jack". Well, this is kind of a fascination of mine with the man many saw as a menace to society. I for one saw him differently. The man is none other than "Dr. Death" himself, Jack Kavorkian. Jack was a very interesting character indeed. Well, this song is kind of a spoof on how he might see the world. But hey Jack, I guess none of us out here really understands how it is to be you right? Well, hope you enjoy these...Rock On!!! May the raging guitar solo live on forever!!!!!!!!
