Story Behind the Song
This song is about having a built in excuse to invite someone you like to come on around - despite the usual shyness, nervousness and such everyone gets. It started as a guitar riff, actually Paul was messing around with a Cocteau Twins riff in the basement at the Busker coachhouse (figure that one out) and Dan and Chris came in and rocked it up. The whole song came together that night (about two years ago) even the backing vocals. The original studio version of this one has an extended intro and outro with a Zeppelin style drop D riff. The band went in to the studio to redo the track after the rest of the CD (this summer) was done and trimmed out all the extra bits for the final version. It was mostly recorded first take, the "bell" guitars and backwards guitar tracks being layed down around 3:30 AM.
