    Lyrics
    glory days

there's nothing else that we would rather have been doing
we took another step for us into the future
different faces participated all for the human race
16 days sailing space, they were the glory days
(and now) it's time for us to get back home

    these are the glory days

telephone call, i'm in the shower, happens all the time
game warden steve says to me, “man are you watching tv”
“nineteen hundred and eighty six happening all over again”
“breaking up in the sky” reporting from cnn
(it was) the time for them to come back home

    these are the glory days

    we're gonna say goodbye today
    (i'm sorry to say)
we're gonna rain on our own parade
    (on this beautiful day)
    identified all our remains
    (on the texas plains)
just one more thing i'd like to say
(don't worry about us, cause we’re doing okay)

there's nothing else i'd rather spend my lifetime doing
day and night i train my mind leap into the future
i'm next in line to walk that line all for the human race
16 days sailing space, these are the glory days
(and now) it's time for me to get back home

    these are the glory days
