	Story Behind the Song The original Guitar line was created by my nephew Mike Thissen. I then took that guitar line and split it up with the Bass line. The words were actually co-writen by my nephew Mike, he is the inspiration for this song as well. With a family history of mental illness and depression this song tells how I see it's effect on the people in my life. Lyrics Alone in the darkness alone in the night. Won’t make till morning I can’t see the light. All I feel is darkness the darkness inside. Won’t make till morning won’t through the night. I feel insanity is creeping up on me, I don’t trust the things I see, Whatever happened to reality? Gotta Fight the Darkness The Darkness Inside Must keep my sanity and stay alive. If I turn my eyes away. And turn to the light. I can see my hopes and dreams are still in sight. Turn To the Light As I sit in my Chair, Look away from the Darkness to people who care.
