	Story Behind the Song i think this was the 2nd 'teen angst' poem i ever wrote. i was in history class, and we were learning about all of these horrors done in the name of christ, and i started thinking about all the untold stories that don't make it into history books. Lyrics i heard some sad news today about that young man pete he decided to take his life today the note read, "god forgive me" i saw pete's family today they suffered a twisting pain they wept for their loved one's life today then for his soul they prayed... god(s) are looking down on/at you god(s) has/have pity for your soul(s) they/he didn't/never want(ed) that/those book(s) of lies some torture used to pay the toll at times like these the christians wonder what's wrong with the world today they close their eyes and they think of jesus (quickly) begging as they pray i heard some more sad news today about that young man paul the christians' pressure took his life today they're unaware they caused his fall at times like these the clear ones wonder what's wrong with the world today they try to make the blind ones see help is not in what they pray i saw paul's bible today and i suffered a twisting pain i wept for its owner's life today and then i threw the weapon away.
