    Story Behind the Song
This is the fisrt song I ever wrote in one full day, words, music and all! I was waiting at the garage, getting an oil change and my tires rotated, bored as anything, I pulled out some paper, a pen, and WHALLA, a song was born. I had been thinking of life in general at the time and that's how I came up with the inspiration for the song. When I got home that afternoon, I wrote the music immidiatly after. I keep telling Doodle, "this song was just meant to be, it's Destiny"!

    Lyrics
    (1st verse)
Life isn't fair, with all the twists and turns it gives you,
decisions that you have to make.
No matter when or where, there's so much pain you have to go through,
how much longer does it have to take?

    *(Chorus)
Out in the distance, on the horizon,
there's an image, so plain to see.
For it's the future, soon to be the present,
and when it's the past, it's our destiny.

    (2nd verse)
I want to know, why do we have to get so hungry,
why do we need food to keep us alive?
I got to know, why we drink water when we're thirsty,
is it that we live just to survive? *

    (3rd verse)
I can't believe how much things change but stay the same,
    moving forward, our progress breathes.
And when it breathes, our heartbeat will never change,
    contradiction, reality. *
