	Story Behind the Song This song first saw life back in 1995 when I was playing in a power pop band called The Peaces. The vocal sound of The Peaces was very Beach Boys influenced, so I thought to myself, "What this group needs is a surf instrumental!" The rest of the lads weren't too crazy about it, so "Shredding Shortboards" had its sole live debut as the opening tune for a Peaces gig at the world famous CBGB's in Manhattan. Of course, I liked the tune enough to keep it back-burner, and I recorded it in 2003. I hope you enjoy the results.
