A whacky and humorous tale about a man and a magic mushroom. Has been described as Dr Zeus meets Syd Barrett.

    Story Behind the Song
Inspired by a magic mushroom trip taken with a group of piss funny English travellers I met whilst travelling in Indonesia.

    Lyrics
    For the Trippers

Late last night I had a dream
    I dreamed I heard a mushroom scream
It then appeared I was awake
I calmed him down and fed him cake

He told me of the things hed seen
And then the walls began to breathe
Thought that I was seeing things
So impolite in front of guests

My mushroom friend I said to him
I like your hat and cheesy grin
He danced a dance and ate the cat
    Took a breath and sang

See this world you know so well
All its perfumes and rancid smell
Take my stalk Ill lead the way
    Lead the way…

Then he vomits up the cat
And looks at me as if to say
I must have eaten too much cake
But what the hell we make mistakes

Intrigued I was by my new friend
The way he smoked a cigarette
Not afraid to poke a flame
Then shit his pants and run away

Just as I was going to say
“I like your style” – aloud he sang

See this world you know so well
All its perfumes and rancid smell
Take my stalk Ill lead the way
    Lead the way…

I took his stalk and off we went
Through valleys low and up again
He cracked some jokes and pulled my tits
    This fungus was hilarious

We pondered life on hills of green
    And talked about important stuff
    Like rubber gloves in cavities
In which you ought not put such things

The silence that ensued this talk
Was broken by his golden voice

See this world you know so well
All its perfumes and rancid smell
Take my stalk Ill lead the way
    Lead the way…

    Laughter, mayhem, tears of joy
    Pretending to be Leonard Nimoy
The sun arose above a mount
My friend had gone, I felt profound.
