Story Behind the Song
Lyrics based off of a horrible nightmare where vocalist Vincent Paul remembers explicit visual details of his REM sleep as he struggles for the answers of what the embedded innuendos offer for his own self actualization. 1 year from conception to mixdown; Pull Factor cuts out all the stops and pushes forth some highly creative and well polished material.
Lyrics
At First, relief upon my eyes. A hint of old times. A trek through my ways, anxiety on the rise. The screen shifts to grey, the cinematic mammal decays - attached to a traffic pole; this monkey's a symbol. Before I woke from my daze a famous male directs pain inflicted on a soul (an anonymous woman in red). The fire burns straight from his eyes. Her pamphlet he tears as he climbs. The spirits scream through his rage. The message I seek will escape when I wake. Toss and turn in my sleep - Dreams - a situation that I feed. A lot of thoughts that all combine to a message from the opposing views on wrong and right. Suggestive ways reveal the motives of people inching views into the way I live my life. What do you have to say. "I think I can lead the way," you say! Exposed to the pinnacle of fear that consumes my thoughts; but I may escape. "Wonderland," he said "Wonderland!" At first, relief upon my eyes - a hint of old times. A trek through my ways; anxiety on the rise. The screen shifts to gray. The cinematic mammal decays. Attached to a traffic pole - this monkey's a symbol of my life!
