Story Behind the Song
The idea for the beat and tempo of the music came to Derek while he was at home near a faucet. The water was dripping into the sink against the ticking of a nearby clock, and thus a song was born. The title "Dripping Water" is something Spiritfield used as a joke title, and it stuck!
Lyrics
Dripping Water
(Barron/Martin)
When my World is dim
Lord you are my light
When my eyes are blind
Lord you are my sight
Lord I hear you call
And I walk to you
You're my all in all and I bow to you
We are saved by grace
Not by works alone
'Cause you walked that hill
Now my sins are gone
God exalted you, to the highest place
Now all I want to do, is follow in your ways
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
You are everywhere I want you to be
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
When my World is dim
Lord you are my light
When my eyes are blind
Lord you are my sight
Lord I hear you call
And I walk to you
You're my all in all and I bow to you
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
You are everywhere I want you to be
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
We are saved by grace
Not by works alone
'Cause you walked that hill
Now my sins are gone
God exalted you, to the highest place
Now all I want to do, is follow in your ways
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
You are everywhere I want you to be
Let your glory shine, Shine all over me
