	Story Behind the Song After a few drunken evenings listening to Cradle of Filth and Dark Funeral, along with a longtime obsession with Morbid Angel and spending time not far from the grave of one Howard Philips Lovecraft, Eric Gorefeast, voaclist, axeman and head cheese of Ptarmigan, painfully created an orgy of darkness that speeds so quickly that it's entracing, psychedelic, and awe-inspiring. Some may find themselves reaching for holy water after this. Lyrics the chill winds are blowing- the west is growing dim- above the clouds unfolding- the moon is full- oh evil night- with thy power divine vested in me I shall make thy darkness shine- I know the secrets of the elder race- such knowledge stupefying to mere mortal minds- i see clearly straight through the mists of time- to restore the past is now my future- a changeling human traitor, i can't resist the call- in R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits as the hordes of Dagon amass- look upon your world- silent before the storm- i fulfill the prophecy- i shall go to the sea to prepare the earth for the clearing-off- some have laughed at changes in me, but they'll all be dead presently, and I have immortality- not a thing can stop us- take it as preordained- our numbers overwhelming- our black arts dominate- the swarm begins the slaughter- reeking trimethylamine- blood and icthic ichor on all you see- your world is ending- your walls collapsing- there's no escaping for the swarm is here to feed- look upon yourself- mutilated, bleeding from every pore...
