	Story Behind the Song I really can’t recall when the concept for this song came to me, but I do remember what inspired me to write it. As the story goes, I came home from a gig at 3:00am, totally exhausted I turned on the T.V. and sat on the couch. When I finally focused, (yeah right....focus...), I realized that I was watching one of those “Cops” shows. You know the kind. Cops running around arresting people for stupid shit and then the cops talk about their adventure of pursuing the “Perp”. Some poor guy was being arrested for molesting his daughter, and you could tell by the look on his face that he couldn’t believe that this was happening to him. (Later, the show announced that he was innocent and that his ex-wife made a false report.) Just as the cops put the handcuffs on him and were about to take him away, his little girl came running out of the house buck naked and screaming. She ran to the nearest mud puddle and jumped up and down getting muddy. The magic moment came where I got the idea. The poor guy stopped himself and the two cops who were escorting him to their car, and yelled to his daughter.......”Now Ju Ju Bee you get your girlie ass outta dat puddle fore’ I give you a whoopin’.” It was one of those moments where everybody was so shocked about what he had said, that every body including the cops, were dumbstruck and stood there expressionless At that point I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell Ju Ju Bee could possibly mean. But somewhere along the way, I developed a character to write about. Although I used the name, the story behind it doesn’t even remotely relate. Ju Ju Bee is one of my most inquired about songs. Even though I prefer the acoustic version, the electric one is a blast to perform live. Although this song isn’t about anyone, it is often related to whomever I’m dating at the time I perform it.
