	Story Behind the Song Exploring the cliches surrounding alien abductions and the near-death experience commonly known as the "light at the end of the tunnel" phenomenon. Although I had an alien abduction in mind when I wrote the lyrics, I felt it important to leave the lyrics somewhat ambiguous to allow the listener to come to his/her own conclusions. The only actual clues to this being an abduction comes at the very beginning of the song when we overhear an alien conversation.
