Story Behind the Song
The song was recorded at Audiofarm Studios in Řrsta, NO by norwegian rock and roll band Blofeld. Axe Blackwell wrote both lyrics and melody and has this comment:
"This song is a song for all the little blue men running around here. Guess it's the George Michael side I never knew I had that came through?"
Lyrics
1st verse:
Don’t ask no questions, if you can’t take no lies
All my confessions, has been fantasized
What’s your profession, doesn’t matter to me
Your time’s my possession, until you set me free
Refr:
Hey, man in blue
You’re just doin’ the things they told you to
It must be sad
Being like you
Hey, man in blue
Don’t think you ever had a clue
It must be sad
Being like you
2nd verse:
Wanna know my friends and, how they spend their lives
Why don’t you ask them? I don’t know their alibis
I feel you’re cryin’, but I know what gets you around
You see me flyin’, and then you shoot me down
Refr!
Solo!
3rd verse (with a twist):
So you think you can play it cat and mouse
So you think you can run around my house
So you think you can play me like you do
So you think you can make me tell the truth
Refr!
