    Story Behind the Song
"(Go Ahead) Make My Eastwood" is the only song The Famous will ever release to the public. Their 5-CD debut album "The Fiftiest Greatest Hits" features 10 songs per CD, every one of them about celebrities or the ways in which common people resemble and/or want to be celebrities. Although it's incredibly cool to release a 5-CD debut, it's pretty much impossible to record 50 great songs in the course of a week (the amount of time The Famous were sequestered in Charlie Sheen's home recording studio in the Hollywood Hills), so the quality of the songs becomes progressively worse with each subsequent track, ranging from "excellent" (the #1 track, a cover of Bob Dylan's "One More Cup Of Coffee" with lyrics cleverly retooled to refer to a famous porn star desiring uno mas caffeinated beverage 'fore she goes to the (San Fernando) valley below), to "unlistenable" (the #50 track, a piss-poor rendition of Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" replacing "sexy" with "famous"). As part of our agressive marketing plan devised by manager Pete Yorn/Richard Gere, we're releasing the track "(Go Ahead) Make My Eastwood" exclusively on MP3.com as a teaser: it's #5 on the third disc, which means it represents the median of The Famous' songcraft abilities; there's stuff that's better, and there's stuff that's worse. So enjoy. And remember, ain't nobody more famous than The Famous.

    Lyrics
there's a man / maybe you've heard of him / his name is clint eastwood / he never breaks a sweat / eastwood / clint eastwood / I have a friend / we call him clint eastwood / 'cause he's stoic / he thinks the ladies love his clint eastwood style / but they don't even know he's there / he says / go ahead / make my eastwood / he says / go ahead / I don't care / he's a good friend / but we don't wanna hang out with him tonight / he's just so serious all the time / that's why we call him clint / eastwood / go ahead / make my eastwood / he says / go ahead / I don't care
