Story Behind the Song
Well this is just a fun song... I wrote it in about fifteen minutes... kinda jazzy...:-)
Lyrics
I watch your crocodile improve his shining grin
My, what big eyes you have… The best to fool me with.
You huff and puff all day, as though Im not around
Ashes to ashes, see, I ain’t fallin down
You’re just another child who lives in some old lady’s shoes,
Sit in your corner, thinking that you got nothing left to loose
You best be nimble, you better be quick
And just beware with whom you share your precious candlestick
I was a little kitten who couldn’t find my mitten
And you were on a search for cats
I said twinkle little star, tell me what your intentions are
You said eat the magic apple and well, that was that
Hey... diddle, diddle I’m stuck in the middle of the rodent and the clock
Losing time I feel so blind, the weasel’s gonna pop
Very quite contrary, with you how do I grow?
(If the) rain that’s pouring doesn’t stop then I shall never know
Georgey Porgy, puddin and pie
Could not compare to the way that you had made me cry
Your name ain’t Mary, and I ain’t your lamb
A little spider crept beside and showed me who I am
You baby rock-a-bye, feeling you are oh so high
When you fall you’ll come up flat
You brought me three bags full, full of dumpty, full of bull
You said I could trust you, and then, that was that
(I saw) you and Jill go up that hill, well what a darling sight
(I weighed my) options and found one that tasted mmm, just right
I said Pete go shove your pumpkin, up under your tail wing
Now wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king…
