This song is the result of the very first writing/recording session of The Drug Mules. A pseudo-political rock song. We like it. |
CD: In My Name (Single)
Label: Mad Gecko Records
Credits: Written, produced, recorded, mixed, by The Drug Mules |
Story Behind the Song
This song was written and recorded April 23-24, 2003 in Indiana, PA. The recording session involved microbrewed beer, GameCube football, and a whole lot of tinkering with sounds, lyrics, arrangements, and ideas. All sounds were made by guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.
Lyrics
I'm disgusted by the revolution
Disappointed in the strength of lies
Despite all our evolution
Still masquerading with the deaf and blind
Nobody asked me to put this in my name
But yet I'm burdened with the heavy price of blame
Nobody asked me to put this in my name
Nobody asked me, nobody asked me...
I can't bring myself to move
Even though I'm not content at home
And I've got nothing left to prove
Even though I've got nothing to show
Nobody asked me to put this in my name
But yet I'm burdened with the heavy price of blame
Somebody told me we need to make a change
We need to make a, we need to make a...
I wish that i was in control
But I'm going fucking out of my mind!
Nobody asked me to put this in my name
But yet I'm burdened with the heavy price of blame
Somebody told me we need to make a change
We need to wake up! We need to wake up!
We need to wake up! We need to wake up!
We need to wake up! We need to wake up!
