    Story Behind the Song
This is another song that took nearly 4 years to complete writing, both the music and the lyrics. It went through a number of evolutionary stages to get to where it is--I think it may have a few more to go, but I'm done with it for now.

    Lyrics
How can you consider it a favor
How can you consider it a bottom line
    Consider it done
    Gone into overtime

    What about honesty?
I could use a little right now
    No substitutes
    No alternatives

When we get to New York City
we are going to have a ball
    All this insanity
    Frozen to resolve

    All of that ecstasy
I could use a little right now
    No substitutes
    No alternatives

    What vanity
    Possesses us
    To remain strangers
    When we come down?

    My heart still quickens
At the mere suggestion of another way
    To touch the center
    Of you again

    What about company?
I could use a little right now
    No substitutes
    No alternatives
