"Stuck in Traffic" -- Night Ranger's Brad Gillis pours on the guitar pyrotechnics in this screaming rocker about the bumpy road of relationships.
CD: Greetings from Ariel!   Label: Jenpet Records
Credits: Produced by JJ Jenkins and George Petersen

    Story Behind the Song
The chorus for this song goes back pre ARIEL. Just before “Greetings” we put verses on it. I thought it would be great to ask Brad Gillis to play on it. He’s from Alameda just like we are and I remember seeing him in the clubs all the time in the days before Night Ranger. I just figured we wouldn’t be able to get him since he was famous now. So, George runs into him in LA, of all places, and says “would you play on one our cuts?” and he said “sure.” Amazing guitar. Thanks Brad.

    Lyrics
    STUCK IN TRAFFIC

    Where once there was magic,
    it's not the same now.
    Love has moved onward,
    I'm not sure quite how.
    I thought for an instant
    the spark would return.
But the odds were against us,
    another lesson to learn.

    We're stuck in traffic.
We ain't got noplace to go.
    We're stuck in traffic.
We ain't got noplace to go.

    One too many wasted nights,
in bars that look the same.
    searching for answers
    Or someone else to blame.
    I must have been crazy,
    but now I'm sure.
    My life was the reason,
but your love wasn't the cure.

    We're stuck in traffic.
We ain't got noplace to go.
    We're stuck in traffic.
We ain't got noplace to go.
