This song is about the need to move on. The apostle Paul was so overwhelmed at his sin that he cryed out to God but he didn't dwell on it. He grasped for the Grace of Christ with all his might and decided he wouldn't be paralized by the memory of his sin.

    Story Behind the Song
I have a freind who has accepted Christ but can't seem to let go of his aweful past. Even Paul struggled with his sin when he said, "what a wretched man am I, Who can save me from ths body of death?" I wrote this to encourage my friend to cling to the Grace of Christ and Move on.

    Lyrics
    Hey Brother
    By Lonnie Crampsey

Hey brother, where you going now? It seems you’ve gone astray
But you can never run too far
Memories from the dust they scream a melody but…
Some tunes are better left forgot

You’re harping on the news of yesterday
I’m here to say to you that yesterday is gone

Hey brother I see beyond your stare, you’re miles away
But you don’t live there anymore
How matchless is the grace that takes our sin and pain?
And throws them right out the front door

Your dwelling on your sin in everyway
But I’m here to say it’s time to be moving on

You’re like Peter on the water
You take a few small steps with focused vision
Then your faith it starts to falter
You turn your eyes away, now you’re swimming

Hey brother I see into your heart and what tugs at you
In time I pray that hurt will fade
Cuz our Savior’s calling out your name to come alive
And I know you’ll never be the same

So take on up your empty netting
And let him fill your soul on the other side

Hey brother, where you going… now?
