	Story Behind the Song Gar was a guitar player singer in a band I was in called Toby and then the Midnight Shift. We played at all the places in Houston a rock band could play in the 60's. We opened for bands like Fever Tree, Moving Sidewalks and played all the teen dances. One day Gary's parents decided he was crazy and sent him away to an institution. It was the last time I ever saw him.
