	Story Behind the Song Autobiographical, Skye was a girl I loved a long time ago, who died when the military helicopter she had been persuaded to go for a ride in was recklessly flown into Lake Tahoe by it's awol crew. The crew got out. I still miss her! Lyrics "SKA 4 SKYE!" c.2002 fred hallman (verse 1) It was a gamblin' town, where they all double down, and a poor girl drowned, 'neath their attention! She walked in golden light, her eyes gleamed oh so bright, she fairly lit the night, with her persona! She got the best of me, can't shake her memory, her face is what I see, when I'm alone-aaaah. (chorus) Cast off the shore, where my heart is buried. Why couldn't I believe my ears- when she said "I want to marry!"? (verse 2) She never could go out, in peace to walk about, or be alone without, someone encroachin'; upon her private space, presumed the human race, as if her smiling face, was some bright penny. I wish I could despise, those army guardsman guys, but then I realize, they were like many! (repeat chorus) (verse 3) The water where she sleeps is twenty-five feet deep, the men who left her there got out unscathed(or/and skated). They couldn't shine her shoes, but she was free to choose, like I was free to lose, what God created! (repeat chorus twice)
