An energetic, ethereal song with a powerful chorus and yearning lyrics. |

Story Behind the Song
This song started out as just the chorus chord progression, before building up the other parts around it. It was coppled together in a single jam session and a rough arrangement was ironed out. Two weeks later the arrangment was solidified and the lyrics were written in a single afternoon. It took about four or five takes to get the finished version. Like most of our songs, the lyrics are written stream-of-consciousness, so we're not exactly sure what the song means.
Lyrics
Can you see me now?
Ends of the earth I drown
A bullet through a sieve
No alternative
Rush of stars above
Lost in vast seas now
Drop through creaky cracks
Dark’ning memories slack
Hope I can find
Nothing behind
Dreaming in chairs
Slice through the air
The world asleep and I am breaking down
She turned around and hummed me one last song
Sometimes I feel so bright, I look up high into the blue, but I
Know I’m singing one last song
Clap these moments down
Wiggle a picture or frown
Clear blue something rings
One last song I sing
Trip through my shoes
What can you lose?
Flash in the pan
I’m your biggest fan
The world asleep and I am breaking down
She turned around and hummed me one last song
Sometimes I feel so bright, I look up high into the blue, but I
Know I’m singing one last song
Do I care what he says
I don’t care, he’s pushing me along
Watch me push away this troubled song
Do I sing one last song?
Or do I leave you waiting?
