KPB affirms our true nature as Children of God as he tells the inspiring story of Jesus. His harmonies are pure and fingerpicking clean and lively. This is a very sweet and spiritually healing song to hear. |

Story Behind the Song
This song came through me almost as if by Divine Inspiration. I remember crying when I read the last verse and recognized how beautifully it captured the Spirit of Jesus and his Ministry. I started writing the song out of my fascination with the archetype of The Fool, but the song has become so much more in its co-creation. It is to this day my favorite song.
Lyrics
Gentle Fool
Joyfully jesting down a path made of palm leaves, prances gentle fool Jesus wearing his soul on his sleeves, juggling three spheres like mirrors as all gather close around him. “It is not so hard to see through this story. It is not so hard to stand in this Glory. It is not so hard to be Me.” The crowds cheer in wonder at this piper of the people while the priests protest in anger that he dare to set their flock free. Still he laughs at their wisdom as he sings to the children, “It is not so hard to see through this story...” Hosanna! He carries on but the elders have seen all they care to see, so they break his skinny body and they hang it from a tree, and the crowd cries up to him to save himself as he sighs, “It is not so hard to see through this story...” Hosanna! And a child finds the three spheres that had been left on the ground. She remembers what the fool said as she tosses them around, and the circles form a halo over her head as she sings, “It is not so hard to see through this story...”
