Lyrics
Paroles par Hadezum - Musique par Hadez
"Here began the way leading to my end"
I tramped in a vast field covered with lily's white
Thirsting for one to hold between my fingers
And to smell her scent, in her petals to bite
But in my eyes, they all came and went as strangers
In spite of my grief I left behind
I prowled with springtime of a flame to find
As I still walked, I saw in the middle of the meadow
An Iris purple and rose, all in beauty and attractive odour
She was not mere great but bathed of so much splendour
That it whorly obscured any flowers with her shadow
And she veiled my eyes to any other one...
I didn't realized that the marvel of so much fragility
Could take my heart and embraced it with sensitivity
I loathed to ravish her but emotion was too strong
I didn't see what lay behind and was so wrong
Next to her, I privated her roots of water to consume
To take this Iris under my nose, to savour her perfume
Peering at her freshness, her succulent colors fade to dark
A withering flower was laid in my hands under sun's spark
I imagined her in eternity as I provided her burial
Thinking of her flourishing in meadows immortal
I didn't realized that malice growing in such fragility
Could drain my heart or strangled it with superiority
I killed this flower but I was mislead all along
I confronted what rose behind and was so wrong
Next to her, fields sway with this deadly flower to inhume
And winds carried death all over with its stenching perfume
Peering at her darkness, her sickly calyx had no more assets:
A withered flower was laid in my hands under sunset
While I grant her to the soil from which she was part
She squeezed my blood-soaked heart
And drank of my innocence drop by drop
Until streaming of my veins be close to stop
And lain on the back between life and death,
I felt like a damned awaiting to expire his final breath
But flower was still living, thirsted with nectar of innocence
And me, crawling I went to the darkest forest's entrance
