	Story Behind the Song This song was written in 1990 at a small hotel in the town of Greenport, L.I., N.Y. Created near the water, you can almost hear the waves as they lap up on the shoreline out on the North Fork of Long Island. The lyrics are about what it means to find a true friend who was there to help in a time of need. It took about 2 days to write it and around 8 hours to record it.
