Story Behind the Song
It is easier for me to believe that God created the entire universe in 7 days or that He parted an ocean in two to save His people than to believe that He really loves me. Out of all the amazing things God has done, the greatest thing is His meeting us where we are in and through the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is what "You Love Me" is about and what drives me to write all the songs I've ever written, this love that loved me enough to take my deserved punishment on a cross. This love is what made me want to love Him back with my life and get to know who Jesus really is. It just freaks me out! :)
Lyrics
I believe You made the universe
In only seven days
I believe You parted an ocean in two
That your people could be saved
I believe that entire cities fell
At one single word
But the most unbelievable amazing thing
Is that you'd call me yours
And that, You love me, You, You love me
Out of all the wondrous things You have done
The way you've shown You love me
Is the greatest one
I believe You came to earth
And walked the streets on feet like my own
And that willingly You took my cross
That surely I would know
And if I were the only one
You'd still have come
You'd still have come
Oh, You love me, You, You love me
Out of all the wondrous things You have done
The way you've shown You love me
Is the greatest one
Out of all the wondrous things You have done
The way you've shown You love me
Is the greatest one
