	Story Behind the Song Even when you can't see the light, it's still there. Lyrics The sky grows dark and the clouds turn gray Soon all the colors fade and the sunlight leaves the day. The wind blows hard and the air grows cold. I have lost my way on this deserted road. The darkness falls and no more light is shed. Now I can barely see the blackened road ahead. How can I find my way without a lamp to see? I cannot see the light that should be guiding me. So here I stand, yet I feel so cold. When I look ahead, I cannot see the road. For all is black. How did this come to be? The pain, the hurt, and the wounds -- they are all coming back to me. I once had strength; I once could carry on. But now I'm on my knees and all the hope is gone. The road is dark ahead; I cannot see the end. So help me now I pray and breathe into me life again. -- Though it's still hard to see the road ahead, And I cannot tell what my next step will be.
