Story Behind the Song
Nic: The title should become painfully self-explanatory about 2 minutes into the piece. The basics of the piece (chord
structure, sequence, middle solo) came to me in a singularity of time - all of a sudden it just existed. For some
reason I don't believe it rightfully belongs to me, that I quite innocently intercepted some type of transmission.
Should puzzle its rightful owner. The working title stuck (because it took too long to find a proper title), courtesy
of Naughtius Maximus, Supposed Father of Brian. It is the story of two chords, when alternated and continuously
modulated downward in whole-tone, produce the suggestion of a chromatically inclining single-note melody
line. It exists both percussionless and percussively.
