"Heal Our Land" by Ed Chapman is that song for our nation today. Filled with hope, patriotism and faith it calls our country to come together and ask for God's healing upon this great nation. Originally written from the tragic events of September 11th, the message of this song is timeless and is relevant to our nation, especially during this difficult season. 	Story Behind the Song September 11th changed all of us. The horrific events unfolding in New York, Washington D.C., and a field in Pennsylvania stunned the entire nation, if not the entire world. We were each affected in our own way, and each compelled to do something. Some of us gave money, some of us gave blood, many gave prayers. I was overwhelmed by the situation and turned to God and my guitar for relief. The result is the song, Heal Our Land, which took less than 15 minutes to compose. The song tells of our nation’s dependance upon God to heal our land. True healing can only come from Him and we, as Americans, must seek it. We are proud to be Americans and we are proud and reliant upon our Christian heritage. And although this song was birthed from the tragic events of September 11th its message is timeless. Our nation needs God’s healing continuously and with current events as they are our nation needs to be praying for God to heal our land...to be our Great I AM. This song encourages unity, promotes patriotism and pleas for God’s intervention for our nation. “Heal Our Land” will unite our country as it is played nationwide to inspire, comfort and strengthen all Americans.
