    Story Behind the Song
This was recorded at a pratice session with the help of our special friend of the band Erinie VanZant. I wrote this song while driving a truck on a paper plate that I had had my lunch on, Then went home and put it to music.

    Lyrics
    Homeless man (brother)

Sleeping under a stairway in some back alley, used to live in a three bedroom ranch out in the valley.
Now he shops in garbage cans for his dinner, salvation army for a pair of shoes or a coat to get through the winter.
He might have lived a better life if he were born a different time; brother can you spare a dime?
He drives a shopping cart stolen from a local store, used to have a single speed bike, but he cant ride anymore.
He dont know how he got this way, just cant remember back; everything in his whole life is right here in this gunny sack.

He might have been a better person if he’d been born at a different time; brother can you spare a dime?
Hiding in the subway, afraid of the street you hate the way you live your life in fear of the people you meet.
I wish that I could take you back to the life you once knew. There must be someone there who still cares for you. We could make a better world if we just took the time; brother can you spare a dime?
