Awesome riff, fingerpicked. When you know you're losing someone that you love, or theyre already gone, what do you want most...what do you do? You do your damndest to get them back. |

Story Behind the Song
I started writing the lyrics thinking it was going to go a certain way, but it took off in an entirely different direction. It begins with trying to hold on to a relationship thats falling apart...it became a call to someone Id already lost in late 1999. Since I will more than likely never see or hear from her again, I live vicariously through the music.
This is one of my first recordings using my computer. Its one of my favorite songs, however, Im not overjoyed by the recording - too much bass on the low E. Of course there are other things Id like to do to...but isnt it true that youre never really done...
For those of you that go so far as to read this, youre lucky enough to now know to turn down your sub (if you have one) or at least lower the bass channel, otherwise youll find out how strong your windows are...
The guitar is pumped into my computer through a Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5. I can't recall if I added anymore effects in post. All vocals are mine. The last chorus features five vocal parts. I tripled the lead vocals and doubled the main back-up vocals as well as the guitar for a total of ten tracks.
