Lyrics
The king made a statue really big of gold. Sent word to the people they must do as he told. He told 'em when they heard the sound of music play. They must bow to the statue, to the idol pray. Those wouldn't to this idol bow. Would be thrown in the fiery furnace now.
Soon the music began to play. And all the people to the idol prayed. But some came forward with news to tell. There were three men, children of Israel. These three men won't do as you told. King, they won't bow down to your idol gold.
Three men trusting in God to save.
Lord, keep these three men from the flames.
Then the king was filled with rage. So he called the three to stand before his face. He said, "Is this true you will not bow, before my idol to the music now? If you won't bow with the rest of the land, what god can keep you from my hand?"
They said, "O King, we'll tell you true, we need not give an answer to you. The God we serve is strong to save. He can keep us out of your fiery grave. But even if he doesn't, let it be known; King, we won't bow down to your idol gold."
The king now was filled with rage so bad he made the furnace much hotter than he ever had. He had them bound in their attire and thrown to the midst of the fire. The fire was so hot that it killed the men who carried them up and threw them in.
The king stood up astonished to see, he saw four in the fire instead of three. The fourth one looked like an angel fair, they were all unloosed walking 'round in there. They were not harmed in any way, as they walked 'round in the flames that day.
The king called out and said, "Come nigh, Ye servant men of God Most High!" The three men came on out of the flames and showed the fire had done no harm to them. Not a hair was singed, not a burn, nor stroke. Their clothes didn't even smell of smoke.
Three men trusting in God to save.
And God kept these three men safe in the flames.
The king said, "Blessed be God Most High, who saved His servants while in the fire. These three put their trust in Him and He sent an angel to deliver them. They went against the king's demand, trusting God to save them from his hand."
So listen to me, you people here, the flames we enter we need not fear. The God who save those men that way is the same Almighty we serve today. The only things burned on those three, were the ropes that kept them from being free.
Singing praises to the God of Israel, the Lord. Praise to the God of Israel, my King. Praise to the God of Israel. We're singing praise to the God of Israel.
