	Story Behind the Song This was written while I was interested in social activism, but had so many people telling me that nothing will ever change. So I wrote this song for people who try to dream during the last day of recording the 2003 Demo. Lyrics A young girl sits with her feet in the fire Her head is adrift in the clouds Ignoring the flame as she floats even higher But all that goes up must come down… So come down dreamer: I'll catch your dive Those burns should tell you to be more careful the next time You decide to fly...but I'd like to fly This same girl speaks with a passion for change But the people around her just stare She speaks of a world where compassion would reign But the people just seem not to care… So slow down dreamer: stop making waves Your lofty ideals are probably just a phase You’ll grow out of someday...but if we could make them stay So dreamer forget everything I told you Don’t let anybody ever tell you what you can't do You could change the world if you believe your dreams can come true Just give a little hope: something to hold on to And we'll fly into the sky Our feet may burn but someone's got to fly 'Cause deep down inside...we'd all like to fly
