    Story Behind the Song
The core of this story is based on a very personal experience. Of course, there was no organ, no dancing, and no death. However, the heart of the story which is my being disabled, my being in love, and my being left behind is true. I do still burn for her.

    Lyrics
Listen to me and I'll tell you a tale of someone I once knew
He had brown hair and his skin was fair and his eyes were blue

But he wasn't quite like you or me
The doctors said he was special and he had the dystrophy

His back was crooked his arms were frail and were pulled up to his chest
His neck was too weak to keep up his head but he did his best

But there was something else special about him that I must relate
He had an elecric organ that he would play

They used to come from miles around to hear him tickle the plastic
Amazed how such a weak cripple could play it was fantastic

Some people thought it a miracle some people said the organ was cursed
Others said he was chosen by God to do his work on earth

this young man was in love with a girl for whom he was not fit
He longed for here everday that he breathed and dreamed of her when he slipt

Her hair was as black as the ocean her eyes were like a stormy sky
Her skin was as smooth as a lucky pirate's pearl and her words were lies

But nonetheless he was taken with her and for a time maybe she with he
And when he'd play his organ she would dance and sing

She'd sing la la la la la la la la lala la la la la la la la la
And she'd twirl around in a circle and everyone ooh'd and ahh'd

And now I throw the monkey wrench right into the tale I tell
This dancing beauty soon met another and for him she fell

Some people thought it was wonderful some people thought it a shame
She said "I wish to wed a normal man if it's all the same"

He cried out to Heaven "Oh is she really leavin'"
He cried all day and he cried the night away

He never played again it brought him too much pain
    He never played another note
    he let the music fade

And five years later in the early morn he passed away
the very last thing on his mind and his lips was her beautiful face and name

fifty years later right to the day that he passed away
At 7 am on that Sunday you can still hear him play

The organ was sold when his parents died but some say the notes still ring
In the still of the morning you can hear his cry you can still hear him singing

Love oh my Love where are you where are you
I burned burned for you and you knew and you knew

I love I still love I still love I love you
Dance for me dance for me for our love for our love
