Story Behind the Song
The Mountain Man is one of the characters from the Greenland Story. Once a peacful traveler in the Mountains of Bohem, He became manipulated by Fiona the Gypsy and forced to do her biddings of evil. The song is from the Hermits perception as he travels to Foggy Bog Mountain to seek out his revenge from the killing of Crystal the Prophet at Castle Camel Dung.

VI Things will never be the same,
Things will never be the same, So I say.
CHI So I plant a seed,
And living in a Tree,
Im gonna fill the need,
Through the dark woods and up the hill side free.
And so I plant a seed,
And living in a Tree,
Im gonna fill the need,
Through the dark woods and up the hill side free.
VII Have you ever lived so alone?
Have you ever lived so alone? So I say.
CHII Sleeping in a log,
Swimming in a bog,
Travel though the fog,
Goin to see the Mountain Man named Tom.
Sleeping in a log,
Swimming in a bog,
Travel though the fog,
Goin to see the Mountain Man named Tom.
CHIII So I plant a seed,
And living in a Tree,
Im gonna fill the need,
Through the dark woods and up the hill side free.
And so I plant a seed,
And living in a Tree,
Im gonna fill the need,
Through the dark woods and up the hill side free.
VIII Things will never be the same,
Things will never be the same.
