Crude Garage recording. Raw, yet unique vocals. A MUST LISTEN for any TalkingHeads fans from the '77 era.True garage atmosphere! Lead guitar is so bad that it's EXCELLENT!
    CD: Music Years : 1981 - 2001
Credits: Music and Lyrics: Jorge Ubalde / Arrangement: Mugre

    Story Behind the Song
Recorded at one of our rehearsals (1981),cassette recorder on one corner of the room. Playing and singing through my Hiwatt amp.The lyrics are the best part!

This is the only song in my lifetime where I simply woke up one morning humming the melody and the lyrics just sprouted off my head.
I had to grab a pen and write as fast as possible, my mind was racing!I never could explain what happened,it's as if I were guided by remote.

    Lyrics

    English Translation:

    "Song For No-One"

This is a song for no-one
it's the type you'll never hear
on the radio or the TV or at nightclubs
it is true it is unbearably bad

this is a song for no-one
even my old lady told me
if you keep on singing that stuff
just say so and I'll get you a doctor

and I sang it on the streets
on the buses and and on trains
until one day a man came and said
kid you're OK your material for Top 10!

and now I'm singing at the Nightclubs
and the TV shows want me
    I have 3 gold records, 4 studios
my own label and I promote others as well

    sometimes I sit and wonder,
how did this all come to be
has everyone gone deaf?are they retarded?
or is my bad taste contageous?

    (guita solo)
