	Story Behind the Song I was watching a PBS show about terrorism, cults and germ warfare, and was amazed at how people follow these leaders so blindly. Lyrics History is full of Hitlers Saddams by the score Frightened little men who spread their hate They can't just live their lives leaving well enough alone Just sitting in their rooms to masterbate They gather up their flocks of sheepish men who follow them Who take on every order as from a God Trying to keep score as they bring the world to war The reporters and the witnesses abroad CHORUS Don't listen to the ravings of a madman You're bound to get in water much too deep But if you follow him You'll get hit in the end For madmen always think of life as cheap It's not just the governments It's citizens, you know The leaders of the cults and hate groups too It's everyone around us must be on their toes For terrorists are all around The person next to you?
