	Story Behind the Song A futuristic parable about an alien child from a war-torn planet whose dream is to come and live on the peaceful, beautiful planet earth. This work is based loosely on the traditional Appalachian folk tune "The Cruel War." Lyrics The Earthship is leaving, on its long, long flight And I want to go with them, I'll hide here tonight.
