	Story Behind the Song The song was written in a bit under two hours, after a few weeks of emotional chaos in september 2002. Then in April 2003, the song was recorded in 3 hours and mixed in half an hour a few days later. Much had happened in between and the song went from being a slightly depressed tune (september 2002) to a more cheerful interpretation of the events (april 2003). The lyrics belong to the indie pop cliche "failed relationship" family - tho' it is more self-mocking than self-important... The drum track was created on a software drum machine, which was played through the computer speakers and recorded onto a 4 tracks recorder. The guitar part was then recorded - using a Fender guitar and a 10W Marshall amp, and the much trusted distorsion pedal. Then a vocal track was laid and another vocal track was added on the chorus. All was mixed on the 4 tracks recorder, wired up to a PC, on which it was mastered (= added a bit of reverb & the funny chorus effect at the end of it). Lyrics Verse1: 1 and 1 makes 2 but you make it 3 cause everything you do is driven by fear tsalk don't talk, meet don't meet nervous without a drink a step forward, a step backward, everything so awkward Chorus: And i'm here wondering how you feel about me and i'm here daydreaming that somehow you do love me Verse2: Your shyness was so sweet but wasn't expecting this you gently kissed me now you're rejecting me you said we are friends only trying hard to stick to it you once gave me all your attention then freaked for no reason
