THE WINNER! Born in 1963 and still alive! Judges Comments: This one is great. I see this as a sequel to Robbay's track. Very direct and immediate antiphonal response from the distorted guitar (in response to the
cantonese announcement). and the funniest thing (i think) is, the guitar responds with a HEAVY VIETNAMESE ACCENT!! i was rolling on the floor dying of laughs. This piece reminds me of the call-and-response in african drumming, rhythmically structured around the "dol" (means "also" in
cantonese). VERY NICE GUITAR PLAYING! and a fluid understanding of the in/famous cantonese "lilts" (intonations). 2. A good mix between jazz and rock, which turns into a sort of Santana tribute. However, the band have made very good use of the voice concept. A very good effort with a lot of creativity. Very catchy and rather soothing. A good song overall. 3. Rhythmic guitar playing that turns the non-sensical sentence in to
a cool saying -- But of course with Chris B. 's vocal -- that always help. The
one has potential for a longer version. 4. this is ok actually To hear more by Never Never Band, please visit: http://artistlaunch.com/artist4.asp?artistid=611 |
