	Story Behind the Song Inspiration drawn from Concrete Blonde, Blue Rodeo, Tagore, the song was written in a small two storey house in Ontario where I could sing quite loud. I imagined some better singer than I reaching for the high note in each couplet. "Leavin" was recorded in an evening span of about two hours laying tracks. I think of it as a train song but it's really a motorcycle song. Lyrics Everybody's talkin' about it: They say your gonna fall but you keep hangin' on you know that they're wrong Sometimes You surpass the collective mind And shine... Everybody's talkin' about you: they say you're left behind but they don't know you as well as I I know if you'd just let your gentle eyes show They'd all unwind. So I don't know why you're keepin it all inside you- don't you think you got something to share? It'll come back if you give it all away Maybe two-fold like the seeds of yesterday. So now you gotta run away somewhere gotta get out of this town but your train wont leave for another hour and I know if I just let you go you'd never feedback around... And so I sing this song to you now the story of my life you shouldn't cut yourself off from everybody with a hidden knife and so on that note I'm letting you go... letting you go.. mmmmm
